Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phillipians 4:6-7

Dear Lord,

It is so easy for anxiety to take over when I think about my child. I can get so worried and concerned for them. It all feels out of my control sometimes. But I know that it’s never out of Your control.

Help me to live in that reality. Help me to come to You with prayer and petition rather than being swept away in a river of anxiety.

When I feel the anxiety begin to creep back into my life, remind me to turn to You for my hope and my peace. Peace doesn’t come from the world, or from turning my brain off, or even from my children behaving the way that I want them to; peace comes from You.

Thank You that You are a God of peace. That You have made peace with us that we may find our peace in You. I pray for that peace today, for me and for my family. Thank You that You do not want me to live a life filled with anxiety, but filled with trust. I raise up all my requests to You and release them into Your loving, capable hands.

In Jesus name, Amen.
