At the end of June, report cards went out. Our students are usually encouraged by the grades they achieve, excelling under the close tutelage of our teachers.
Summer finds the students enjoying the outdoors and working in our garden.
July 18 – 23 they went to Wilderness Ministries Bible Camp on Tobin Lake for canoeing, fishing, hiking, sports, and games. They, and six of our staff, had a great week of fun and relaxation, getting to know God, His creation, and each other a little better.
July 29 – 31 was the Frenchman River Gospel Jamboree, here in Shaunavon. Our students were happy to help with set up, ushering, and taking tickets; and they received many encouragements for their diligent work.
Four of our students enjoyed a week of Edge Camp at Millar College of the Bible, their training coaches pushing them with intense physical activity.
This month marks our 4th Land for Land crop fundraiser. Troy Laforge, Kevin Krahn, and Wendell Patzer, along with other local farmers, manage and provide the necessary labor and equipment for this project on 120 acres, 6 miles south of Swift Current. BASF Bayer, Monsanto Bio Ag, SWT, and NuFarm donated supplies. Thank you to all. The lentils are doing well and are expected to yield a much-needed bountiful crop. If other farmers are willing to band together in a similar project, we would love to meet with you to discuss the details.
